Lee Murray


Lee is currently an online Science instructor in the Centre for Excellence in Foundational Learning at Bow Valley College.

He attained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta in 1985 and immediately began his career as a biologist for Alberta Environment in Lethbridge.

Lee returned to university and acquired a Bachelor of Education degree, also from the University of Alberta in 1990.  This began his over 20 year career as a science instructor with various school boards across the province.  During this time Lee worked with Alberta Learning as a Head marker and Item writer for Biology and Science Diploma exams as well.

Over Lee’s career he has contributed to the development and implementation of resources for Science curriculums in the province and continues to contribute to the development of resources and assessment with Alberta Learning.

When not doing development and instruction at Bow Valley College, Lee can be found cooking an exotic meal, coaching his son’s lacrosse, tossing a fly to an unknowing trout or whitewater kayaking.  On his holidays he enjoys snorkeling, free diving, deep sea fishing and surfing.  Lee has also contributed his volunteer time to Youth Justice, community sports and Trout Unlimited.
