Katrina Mitchell - NorQuest College
Speaker bio:

Katrina Mitchell has been an instructor in Adult Upgrading at NorQuest College since 2011. She has been a teacher since 2004, specializing in alternative delivery of English Language Arts and Social Studies at the secondary level. After graduating from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, with a major in Social Studies and a minor in Art, in 2004 she relocated from Alberta’s capital to central Alberta. In 2008, she returned to Edmonton to complete a Bachelor’s of Arts degree with a major in History and a minor in Religious Studies focusing on early Christian texts prior to the Council of Nicaea. While at NorQuest College Katrina has instructed classes in a variety of formats including face-to-face, synchronous online, asynchronous online, and video conference. She is currently developing a Social Studies 30-1 asynchronous course for delivery via eCampusAlberta.
